On Friday, October 3, representatives from Aetna Better Health of Louisiana visited Catholic Charities of Southwest Louisiana to present a $10,000 grant in support of employment assistance needs across the region. The funding will specifically assist local individuals experiencing financial hardships that prevent them from obtaining the training, certifications and documentation necessary to secure employment.
“We are grateful for the generous support from Aetna Better Health of Louisiana,” said Sister Marie Josepha Kluzny, Executive Director of Catholic Charities of Southwest Louisiana. “These funds will help individuals throughout the five-parish area with employment related needs such as fork lift training, TWIC cards and Louisiana State Identification cards that are required to successfully gain employment. Proper documentation and training are key to accessing employment opportunities and various assistance programs that can help pave the way toward greater financial stability.”
